Dear Atharv,

The world thinks I am a hands-on Dad. Why not, with a son like you who wouldn’t want to be?

I still remember the day your Mom surprised me with your very existence. From that day onwards, it wasn’t about just two but about three of us. I was by your Mom’s side that time and I thank my passion for gifting me with that allowance. Being a sailor has been my childhood dream and with you guys around and supporting me, I feel a great sense of pride in what am doing. While at sea, I have now more reasons to count my days till I come back home. And the best days start when I am at home completely at your disposal. Although my presence is a huge relief to your Mom, but remember one thing Mom is always Mom. There’s no one like Mom. She’s the real hero. She’s the one who is the real boss of the house although you may have the pseudo impression of being the one but trust me son, the sooner you realise that, the better.

Our day starts when your bright eyes are wide open and you are smiling. After that your activities are as good as a tsunami but it’s worth getting hit. Starting from dancing to your tunes, to changing your diaper and giving you a bath while playing some imaginary character, to keeping you entertained at all times. The football will get deflated but not your spirit.

I missed watching you take your first steps and God knows what all I might miss. But let me tell you this, I will always be with you in whatever form, even if it is just a memory of you and me.

As your father, I have only one expectation, you becoming a good person. Keep life as simple and be a meaning for others in a right way buddy. Even with me not around at times, keep supporting your mother. Be a good son. Harbour positivity around.

And remember one thing always….Papa loves you and will always love you till the end of the world.

Yours always

Papa

Get to know us better!
