Parenting Columnist | Writer | Journalist | Founder – Let’s Raise Good Kids (A Parenting Platform)
With over 23 years of lifestyle journalism experience across brands such as India Today, The Times of India, Mumbai Mirror, Better Homes and Gardens, Good Housekeeping, etc. Geetika is the former Editor of Child magazine and has been focussing on Parenting for the past decade. She currently writes a monthly column in The Indian Express called Parental Guidance and started her own parenting platform in 2020 called Let’s Raise Good Kids. She is a mother of two young children and through her platform and her instagram page, she shares insights for parents on various subjects, drawing from her own experience. In the last one year, she has addressed parents navigating the pandemic with their children’s learning journey and discussed significant issues such as learning loss for children, the balance between offline and online, teaching resilience to children, how the pandemic can shape parenting, among others.
With children out of school, physical distancing as the new norm, and children’s rights under threat, the new world order has “turned back the clock” on years of progress made on children’s well-being. However, it’s not all bad. As a human race, we’ve been built to adapt: we’ve seen a tipping point in technology-enabled education and the promise of a new education policy in our country.
