President, Podar Education Network, Early Childhood Association and Association for Primary Education and Research
A global early childhood expert with over 34 years of experience, Dr. Swati Popat Vats designs developmentally appropriate curriculums for preschools across the world and has also designed the early years curriculum and teacher training material for Maharashtra’s International education board. She has coined the term Kiducation as the guiding philosophy for her curriculums and has recently developed a non-screen based pre-coding curriculum for early years that helps children learn how to learn and think. An author of more than 25 books for teachers, parents and children, including ‘The secret touch’ and ‘When touch becomes trouble’, she strongly advocates for the prevention of child sexual abuse. Dr. Vats has also developed the world’s first video-based parenting website called, Born smart, to help parents understand about nurturing brain development from birth to three years. She is also the educational consultant and series editor for Cambridge Early Years Program.

However, it’s not all bad. As a human race, we’ve been built to adapt: we’ve seen a tipping point in technology-enabled education and the promise of a new education policy in our country.
