Precautionary Measures

We are closely monitoring if any of our staff/Children or their parents have travelled to high-risk countries as identified by WHO – China, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Italy, Iran, Vietnam, Taiwan, Singapore and Europe. In this regard, please take the time to fill our self-declaration form in the interest of others’ safety.

We request you to notify our CD if anyone from the household has travelled to these countries or have received visitors from these countries. In case you have either travelled or received visitors, we will need your child to have a self-quarantine of 14 days prior to coming to our centre.

It may assure you to know that as a regular exercise we practice the right-hand wash techniques with our children. This is the rhyme we sing as the children wash their hands. You can work with your children to practice some of these same steps at home.

In the wake of the current situation, children are taken for hand wash every hour except during the nap hour. ‘Handwash’ with soap and water is recommended over using any alcohol/non-alcohol based sanitizers by Center for Disease Control & Prevention. In addition to this, as a part of the child’s learning experience, we conduct discussions on healthy habits this includes the understanding of how germs spread and the effects of an infection.

Since our children are really young and experiential learning works best, as part of our curriculum, we conduct an experiment using bread and apple to show them what happens when our hands are dirty. The results are fascinating and the children love being part of it.

It is of paramount importance to remain calm during times of adversity. Here is a list of coping measures put together by the World Health Organization

Dr. Prachi Bhosale, Senior Consultant Paediatrics at Apollo Cradle Maternity & Children’s Hospital in Brookefield, Bangalore has helped us put together a quick guidebook on COVID-19. Click here to read it.

Additionally, we are implementing every possible precaution to ensure our premises are safe for children and staff. Click here to know more

Panel Discussion: Together, Apart – Uniting Efforts for Children in the New World Order

With children out of school, physical distancing as the new norm, and children’s rights under threat, the new world order has “turned back the clock” on years of progress made on children’s well-being. However, it’s not all bad. As a human race, we’ve been built to adapt: we’ve seen a tipping point in technology-enabled education and the promise of a new education policy in our country.

What can we, as influencers of change in the education space, do to create a better tomorrow for children? Join us for a panel discussion where we can come together to unite our efforts to secure the future of the nex-gen and create a better tomorrow for children.
